Battery Charging and Use
- The MNP900 battery is kept uncharged for shipment.
- On the first charge only: If the charging light does not go out during the first 5-10 minutes, restart the charging procedure. This may occur one or two times
- New rechargeable Li-Ion batteries require two or three charge / discharge cycles to obtain optimum running capacity.
- For charging details and charging times, refer to the battery charger instructions.
- Never use any battery charger other than the one recommended
- The MNP900 battery is a Li-Ion chemical reaction type battery. Its properties are best maintained under the following conditions.
- Optimum charging takes place at temeratures between 0 and 25 degrees centigrade. Cooler temperatures impede chemical reactions. Higher temperatures can prevent complete charging.
- Store in a cool, dry place. Extended exposure to high temperatures will increase natural discharge and shorten service life.
- Total natural discharge may occure during long storage periods. (Uncharged storage is preferable; recharge one day before use).
- Remove from charger or power unit when not in use, some applications use current even when switched off.
